5 Days Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha Budget Camping Safari

Detailed Itinerary
 

DAY 1 : Nairobi – Masai Mara

7.30 a.m. – 8.00 am pick up from hotel and depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve, via the view-point of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for refueling ,arriving at camp in time for lunch. You will have little siesta later proceed on the first introduction game viewing in Masai Mara national reserve, returning back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 : Masai Mara

After breakfast proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAY 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru

Early morning pre-breakfast game drive from 0600am to 0930am tracking the wildcat, if lucky you will witness them as they hunt and kill. After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Nakuru, lunch enroute, with scenic views of Mt. Longonot, and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway. Dinner and overnight at a budget hotel.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru

After breakfast you will proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park with picnic lunches for a full day game drive, known for its prolific bird life including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino, while species like cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. Diner and overnight at a budget hotel.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha – Nairobi

After breakfast depart and drive to Lake Naivasha. Proceed to Hell’s gate where you will start your walking / biking safari alongside wild animals such as buffalos, warthogs, gazelles, antelopes, giraffes and beautiful sceneries adorned to hell’s gate national park among varied species of birds. The cycling will cover about 14 Kilometers in total that is going and coming back to the gate with the bike, however the car will be behind thus if you feel tired we will drop the bikes and get in the car and continue with our safari. After lunch we head to Lake naivasha for a boat ride and later drive to Nairobi where our Kenya budget safari ends.
